Pattaya is located 150 KM from Bangkok and has busy beach resorts and offers a modern life style people are used to living in the West. It has more then 120,0000 hotel rooms available, most of the hotels are spread along Pattaya's coast from Naklua to Jomtien beach. Pattaya beach is the most active beach of Pattaya offering jet-skiing, para-sailing and boat trips all day long. Pattaya city is one of the most popular destinations, counting more than 5 million visitors a year, this holiday paradise is very attractive and it provides all for a memorable family vacation.

The number of hotels and accommodations have rapidly increased over the past years. On weekends and holidays most cheaper rooms are booked out. In North Pattaya more quiet accommodations are available, away from the crowd and if you want to avoid the lively nightlife that Pattaya is famous for then book a room there.

Most hotels and shopping centers are located in Central Pattaya. They are offering a wide assortment and all you might or might not need. They are developed to attract tourists with trendy, modern facilities and well known brand names. They house also 1st class restaurants serving all international cuisine you grave for but you still can enjoy there also a traditional Thai meal for a fraction of the price you would pay for the Italian or French dinner. Ice cream salons, bakeries and coffee shops are located in these shopping centers and their assortment comes highly recommended.

When you travel along Pattaya's Beach Road and pass the Royal Garden shopping complex, you will come to the walking street, this is one of the busiest streets in Pattaya with many bars, disco's and restaurants and this is also the destination for lonely men from "everywhere" ...here is where the nightlife starts. The attention however shifted to entertaining complexes that serve couples and female tourists and you can meet ladies and couples of all age groups, coming from Japan, Scandinavia, Europe, America and Middle East. These places are open until the early morning and it's worth while visiting them, when you are in the city and want to go out.

Pattaya offers many sightseeing's and attractions, from water sport to carting, fun fairs for the kids, famous Golf courses are located around Pattaya. Horse riding, parks with beautiful  lush trees and flowers in all shades of colors, the Pattaya Park where the very courageous ones can slide down the 56 story high building, or use one of the many attractions it offers.

Let us not forget about scuba diving! Ko Lan, Ko Krok and Ko Sak are islands nearby that can be easily reached by a speed boat you can rent. Jomtien beach is a perfect spot for beginners that would like to learn diving or snorkeling.

Many divers that come to Pattaya prefer Ko Man Wichai. This island is further outside the sea and visibility can be 8M - 15M deep. Costs for a diving trip is cheap and prices may vary from 2000 - 3000 Thai Baht including the boat rental, diving equipment and lunch. Snorkeling is much cheaper and costs around 800 to 1500 Thai Baht depending where you go.

Best and most convenient way to reach Pattaya is, when you arrive at the airport, by taxi. Fares start at 1000 to 1500 Thai Baht depending how your bargain skills are developed when you negotiate the price with the taxi driver. It's only a 1 hour - 2 hours drive, depending on the traffic.
